How to Edit Video Sources Using CG Editor in the Livebox Playout Software?

After adding your file in schedule playlist enable CG editor which is located to the right of schedule playlist.

A new CG editor window opens where you can see several editing options for your source. By using these settings, you can add text, images, clips, varieties of tickers, date, time and so on.

To add any text or marker, click the “Text” option.
Then click inside the preview box to place your text. You can even drag to position it.
Click the option text-000 under “Items” from the right corner.
Now inside the text box type your text.

To add a crawling ticker, click the Crawling Ticker option.
Then click inside the preview box to place your ticker. You can even drag to position it.
Click the option ticker-000 under “Items” from the right corner.
Now inside the content box type the required content.

Note: You can use crawling ticker for any important announcements in the midst of your live streaming.

To add a rolling ticker, click the Rolling Ticker option.
Then click inside the preview box to place your ticker. You can even drag to position it.
Click the option ticker-001 under “Items” from the right corner.
Now inside the content box type the required content.

Note: You can use rolling tickers for your end credits or end title.

To add a ticker, click the Ticker option.
Then click inside the preview box to place your ticker. You can even drag to position it.
Click the option ticker-002 under “Items” from the right corner.
Now inside the content box type the required content.

Note: You can use ticker to announce any breaking information or news.

To add date and time, click the Date and Time option.
And then click inside the preview box to place the date and time. You can even drag to position it.
Click the option dt_time under “Items” from the right corner.
You also even set your date and time in the given text box.

Now click “File” option, which is located on the top left corner.

Click “Save CG Config” to save your edits.

A new dialog box opens, where you can enter a name for your edits and click “OK”.

Now get back to the playout software main window and enter your saved file name in Enable CG option and then given Load.

You can view your made edits in preview and also in an extended preview. It is also given below an example image to have a clear understanding of using CG editor. (Image Credits: BBC News)
