Livebox Android Receiver

You can now monitor your live streaming on your Android mobile phones through Android Receiver. Follow the steps below to monitor your streaming:

  • Create a channel in the Livebox server as per the procedure in the link

  • Now, stream the video on your channel on the Livebox server. You can Preview the streaming video in the Livebox Dashboard which appears as:

Now, create a Multi CDN to stream your bulk video content on various locations at the same time with no difference in video quality. Follow the below steps to create a multi-CDN.

  • Under the Settings button in the Navigation menu, select Multi CDN.
  • In the Multi CDN Settings page, create a new CDN group by clicking on the + sign on the Streaming CDN Groups option.
  • Add a New CDN Group Page appears. Fill in the required details to create a new CDN group and then click on the Submit button.

Note: 

  •  All the URLs that are required to create a New CDN Group are available on your streaming page.
  • On the channel Dashboard, click on the Stream URLs button of your streaming channel to copy the required Stream URL, Play RTMP URL, Play HLS URL, Play Secure HLS URL, Play DASH URL, and Play Secure Dash URL.
  • Once you have successfully created a new CDN group it automatically appears on the Streaming CDN Groups dropdown box.
  • The following details on the Multi CDN Settings will automatically fill up with the details given to create a new CDN group.

Now, Install the Livebox Android receiver on your mobile device.

Your mobile might need your confirmation to install the Livebox Android receiver App. 

  • Click on the Install button to proceed with the installation process.
  • Once the app is installed on your device, click on the Open button.
  • The app encloses with its logo and reaches the Livebox Android Receiver page.
  • Enter the given credentials in the Domain Name, Username, and Password fields, and then click on the Submit button.
  • Then, you will be shifted to the Settings page. In the Settings page, enter the stream Group ID you created through Multi CDN.
  • Select the appropriate Play Type as RTMP or HLS format and then, click on the Play button
  • You can view the video from the Livebox Channel on your mobile device.

Android Device Monitor:

You can now monitor the live streaming from your remote place through Android Device Monitor. Create an android mobile app through the Livebox App store, to get the updates of the devices to monitor. To, access the live streaming, follow the following steps:

  • In the navigation menu, select System.
  • Under the System dropdown list click on the Device Monitor option.
  • The device monitor page appears with the Select Device dropdown box. 
  • In the select device dropdown box, select Android Receiver.

The Android receiver page shows the details of the device, you are looking for as shown in the image below:

  • It provides you the information about the following details:
    • Type: It is the type of receiver that is used for uninterrupted monitors even from remote places.
    • Stream Group: It is the stream ID in which the streaming is happening.
    • Status: It shows the actual status of the streaming.
    • Action: This provides you with the options to play the streaming, stop the streaming, change the settings for multi CDN and server  Group ID and delete the link of the user in the monitor.
    • Heart Beat: It provides the details of the last active details like the date, year, and minutes of the last streaming.
    • Interval: It shows the details of the user and it is updated every 10 seconds.
  • Once your video starts streaming it automatically reflects in the Status field as shown below:

Likewise, you  monitor your streaming through the Android Receiver App.
