Live Streaming on Facebook Using OBS Studio

The following steps will provide you clear-cut representations to stream your videos in Facebook live using the Livebox streaming server.
  • Create your channel in Livebox.
  • Go to OBS Studio to encode your video source to Livebox streaming server.
  • From the navigation menu click Manage channels and under manage channels select Channel Dashboard and click Play to preview your video.

  • Now go to Push Destinations under Manage Channels.

  • A Push Destinations window opens, select your streaming channel and then click the Add Destination button located on the right side or the thunder button on the left side to select your destination.

  • A dialog box Share on with several destinations shows up. As you wanted to stream live on Facebook, select the Facebook option and click then Push live stream to Facebook to get connected to Facebook.
    Note: If you select the option Automatically TURN ON when adding push value, the live stream will automatically begin to happen in your Facebook destination once the live streaming set-up is done. Otherwise, you have to manually turn on the push value to continue your live streaming on Facebook.

  • In Facebook login page login with your credentials.

  • You are now logged in. Select your sharing option and click Next.

  • Once you click the Next button, a Connect your Live stream to the Live API Facebook page opens, you can minimize the window to see your Facebook destination being added in the push destination.
    Note: If you didn’t select the Automatically TURN ON when adding push value option, then you have to Turn On the push value to start your live streaming.

  • Then go to Facebook, where it starts to fetch your Livebox contents for streaming.

  • Your contents are now fetched, so you can give nice description and title to your stream and also decide the audience to share your live stream with.
  • Then click on the Go Live button on the right bottom corner.
  • You are now on live streaming on Facebook.

Pushing Live Streams on YouTube (Push Destination)

   Anything  in live streaming is possible with Livebox. You can stream, encode, transcode and reach several media platforms with one Livebox. Though the Livebox offers multiple ways for live streaming purpose, it is always easy and simple to conduct live streaming using the Livebox, and the following steps will help you in achieving your first YouTube live streaming.

To live stream on YouTube through the Push Destination method,

  • Create your channel in Livebox.
  • Encode a stream to your RTMP server channel in Livebox.
  • Preview your live on the Livebox Dashboard.

  • Now go to Push Destinations under Manage Channels.

  • A Push Destinations window opens, select your streaming channel and then click the Add Destination button located on the right side or the thunder button on the left side to select your destination.

  • A dialog box Share on with several destinations shows up. As you wanted to stream live on YouTube, select the YouTube option and click then Go live now to get connected to YouTube.
    Note: If you select the option Automatically TURN ON when adding push value, the live stream will automatically begin to happen in your YouTube destination once the live streaming set-up is done. Otherwise, you have to manually turn on the push value to continue your live streaming on YouTube.

  • After clicking go live now, it will lead to another dialog box where you can choose your YouTube account.

  • Give allow to ivb7.com to access your Google Account.

  • Once you choose your YouTube account, you will get a notification from Livebox stating Created Successfully and now you can give OK.

  • In your YouTube main page click the icon from the top right corner and select Go live.

    • A new page with streaming specifications opens where you can select the Stream BETA and go to ClassicLive Streaming located near the bottom right corner.

  • A Creator Studio page opens, where you can fill your requirements in Basic Info and Stream Options.

  • Once you click the OK button, you can minimize the window to see your YouTube destination being added in Livebox server. You are now on YouTube live.
    Note: If you didn’t select the Automatically TURN ON when adding push value option, then you have to Turn On the push value to start your live streaming.

  • Back on YouTube, YouTube’s live streaming platform is ready to receive the live content from the Livebox server.

  • Receiving content is on the process.

  • The live streaming content from the Livebox server is now fetched on YouTube and it is on live.

  • To check your live stream, go to YouTube and click My channel from the top right corner.

  • In your channel uploads, you can see your streaming video is streaming on. Click the video to view it.

Re-streaming on Facebook Using the Livebox Client Portal

  The sub-user created by the Livebox admin can access the Client Portal and re-stream the live videos running on the Livebox server channel to their desired destinations. The destination could be anywhere, like Facebook, Periscope, YouTube, Twitch, RTMP servers, and other streaming platforms. So, to start re-streaming the Livebox server channel content on Facebook, the sub-user have to log in the Client Portal with the credentials provided by the admin.
    • Enter your username and password and then give Login.

    • When your Client Portal opens, click Add Destination to select any social media platform to conduct the re-streaming.

    • A dialog box with many destinations opens, under which select Facebook.

Note: If you want to start your streaming process instantly after adding your destination then enable the Automatically Turn On when adding push value option.
  • After you click on the Facebook option, a dialog box opens and you can click Push live stream to Facebook.

  • Once you select Push live stream to Facebook, a pop-up notification on the top left of your browser appears, in which you can give Always allow and click Done.

  • Client Portal is now connected to your Facebook and it opens your Facebook login page. So, log in to your Facebook.

  • Select where you want to post your live video and give Next.

  • Once you click the Next button, a Connect your Live stream to the Live API Facebook page opens, you can minimize the window to see your Facebook destination being added in the push destination.
    Note:If you haven’t enabled the Automatically Turn On when adding push value option, then Turn on the button on your destination when you really wanted to re-stream to your Facebook destination.

Pushing Live Streams on Periscope (Push Destination)

And when it comes to streaming live, Twitter is popularly known as Periscope.
The following steps will provide you clear-cut representations to stream your videos on Periscope using the Livebox streaming server.
  • Create your channel in Livebox.
  •  Stream your source using an encoder of your preference.
  •  From the navigation menu click Manage channels and under manage channels select Channel Dashboard and preview your source.

  •  Note: If you select the option Automatically TURN ON when adding push value, the live stream will automatically begin to happen in your Periscope destination once the live streaming set-up is done. Otherwise, you have to manually turn on the push value to continue your live streaming on Periscope.

  • Once you select your destination as Periscope, another dialog box Share on to enter your Periscope account URL opens.

  • Now go to your  Periscope account and login with your credentials. 
  • Then click your profile icon and select Producer.

  • In Producer page, click on Create New Source to get the Server URL and Stream Key for your live broadcasting.

  • Now copy the Server URL and Stream Key. 
  • Note: Always keep your Server URL and Stream key safe to avoid misuse in any form.

  • Now go to Livebox server and paste the copied Server URL and Stream key.
  •  Note: While copying the Server URL and Stream key, the Server URL should be copied followed by a forward slash (/) and then the Stream key.
  • Then click Submit.

  • Your Periscope destination is now added under the Push Destination
  •  Note: If you didn’t select the Automatically TURN ON when adding push value option, then you have to Turn On the push value to start your live streaming.

  • Now go to your Periscope account.
  • The Periscope starts to fetch your source for broadcasting.
  • Give a title for your broadcast, select your audience and then click on Go Live. Also, make sure that share this broadcast on Twitter is checked.
