Queues

   Livebox is the only streaming server that comes with encoding nature. You can rely on Livebox without being dependent on any other encoders. To experience such versatility, all you have to do is to learn how to add the task to the queues. So, let’s see how a queue is created,
(To create a queue)
  • Go to Queues from the navigation menu.

  • Under queues, select Create Queues. A new Create Queue page opens.

  • In Create Queue page, enter queue name, task name, priority, delay, and attempts.

You Queue creation is still in the process and it can be completed only if any file or source is added. So, now let’s look at the way to add file/source to create a queue for live streaming.
(To add local files as tasks in queues for streaming)
    • After entering your queue name, task name, priority and attempts, click the Files option.
    • Then click Select File in File upload to browse and add a file from your local disc.

    • After selecting your file, click the Upload button to upload your file.

    • Then click the Next button.

    • After clicking next, you will be taken to the destination, where you can select a destination for your live streaming to occur.
    • If you want to live stream the added file to one of your channels, then select your channel in Available channels and also Select a preset.
    • As you are adding a file, therefore select file_preset in Select a preset option.
    • And then click the Add button.

    • Your task is added.
    • Go to queues Dashboard from the navigation menu, and you can see the added task to your queues.
    • The added task can be previewed,  stopped or deleted from the given control keys.

(To add tasks in queues for Transcoding.)
    • Under Manage Channels option, go to the Transcoding page from the navigation menu and enable it.
    • Then go to Queues to create your queue or to add a task to your queue. After entering your queue name, task name, priority and attempts, go to the YouTube URL option.
    • Enter YouTube link of the source you wanted to stream in YouTube URL.
    • Click List Quality to select Available Qualities and give Next.

    • Then go to Destinations, under Channel enter your channel name in Available Channels and in the Select preset option set as YouTube default and give Add, and your queue is added for Transcoding.

(To add tasks in queues for Multi-Bitrate)
    • Below Manage Channels option, go to Multi-Bitrate page from the navigation menu and enable it.
    • Then go to Queues to create your queue or to add a task to your queue. After entering your queue name, task name, priority and attempts, click the Files option. After entering your queue name, task name, priority and attempts, click the YouTube URL option.
    • Click List Quality to select Available Qualities and give Next.

    • Then go to Destinations and enter the copied RTMP URL near RTMP and in the select a pre-set option set as YouTube default.
  • YouTube source is added for Multi-bitrate streaming
  • Now give Add. Your task is added to the queue. You can check your added queue in Queues.

  • Your Queue with tasks is added. You can select your queue by clicking the drop-down menu located at the top left corner and any time the queue can be played, paused or restarted by the control keys given at the top right corner to carry out your streaming process.

The sources added through the queue will get played on your RTMP server channel, from where you can embed it live on your sites or push it live to your social media accounts/streaming platforms.
